Magdalena Plotczyk

MSc Student

Biography:

Magdalena completed her BSc degree in Biomedical Sciences at University College London and graduated with First Class Honours and the Dean’s List Award. Her project focused on optimising a tissue-engineered skeletal muscle model derived from iPSCs and biomaterials under the supervision of Dr Francesco Saverio Tedesco.

Previously, Magdalena was awarded research scholarships that allowed her to work on short research projects at Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm, Sweden and EPFL, Lausanne, Switzerland.

In March of 2016, Magdalena joined the lab to work on an MSc project that investigated the effect of oxygen conditions on differentiated human dental pulp stem cells in Engineered Neural Tissue.

When not in the lab, Magdalena enjoys playing volleyball and travelling.

Qualifications:

MSc Nanotechnology & Regenerative Medicine, University College London (2016)

BSc Biomedical Sciences: Developmental Biology, University College London (2015)
